My health and eating plan

As I look at my health and food I eat I realize my strength and weakness and what changes I need to make. As far as me I need to eat breakfast lunch and dinner I need to eat less saturated Fay’s and also less carbs more protein fruits and veggies to have a well balanced meal and do more healthy fats and healthy carbs and not so much fast food but heart healthy foods.

Macro and micro nutrients

As we all might know nutrients are things our body needs our nutrients can be divided into 2 categories macro and micro nutrients macro are nutrients that are we need in large amounts such as carbohydrates protein and fat micro nutrients are nutrients that we need in smaller amounts such as vitamins and minerals.  Our macro nutrients are broken down in the stomach then in the small intestines and our micro nutrients are broken down in in the stomach and carried to the cells that needs it. Macro and micro are very important to our health and too much macro or too little micronutrients can be harmful to our health. 

Nutrition at all ages

 During Infancy Brest Milk contains most nutrients needed for Important nutrients for infants include carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. 0-6 months should drink breast milk or formula. 6-12 months babies can start eating food such as infant rice cereal and as they develop they get foods that are soft and nutritious. Childhood dietary requirements   Ages 2-4 calories 1200-1800 daily protein 2-4 ounces Fruits 1-1.5 cups  Vegetables 1-1.5 cups grains Ages 4-8 (GIRLS)calories 1200-1800 daily protein 3-5 ounces Fruits 1-1.5 cups  Vegetables 1.5-2.5 cups grains 4-6 ounces Dairy 2.5 cups. Nutrition and Disease

Nutrition and disease can go hand in hand in some cases. If you have poor nutrition it can put you at risk to develop diseases and life threatening ones at that. Diets high in saturated fat can lead to high cholesterol even hypertension where you eat so much food high in sodium the blood pressure increases. According to the National Institution of Health  Having too much sugar, salt, or fat in your diet can raise your risk for certain diseases. Healthy eating can lower your risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other health conditions.  Malnutrition is when you take in too little calories which also means you also get less nutrients and Vitamins which can lead to weak bones teeth and lose of weight a swollen stomach. And sickness.
